4.6 on the Ventura County border. No biggie.

4.6 northwest of Malibu. Been getting a bit more active out there. 4.2 near San Bernardino on Jan. 24. 4.1 south of Rancho Palos Verdes on New Year's Day.

I was listening to a talk show based in L.A. and the quake hit while they were doing a live read for something or other. That was kind of fun to hear in real time. It seemed to last longer than usual, from the way they described it.

Epicenter was off the windy Decker Road (CA 23) in what appears to be the Foose Road area. West of the famed Kanan Road.

Marv and Su Dunphy (former Pepperdine and USA men's Olympic volleyball coach) live on Decker School Road. I hope they check in and are OK.

The Dunphys are nowhere to be found on X (as in Gen X) but I haven't tried Faceboomer yet.

I've been in one earthquake in my life. It shook the house. Glasses in the kitchen cabinet tinkled. My initial reaction was, "What the heck? That was weird. The house shook." I next wrote it off as my imagination.
The next morning it was confirmed on the news that we had an earthquake.

I don’t think I’ve been in anything bigger than a 5 so far. Every time it’s “what the hell is that” followed by “crap, The house is moving, is this the big one?” and then, “it’s over. That was fun.”

The best one I was in 6th grade and our classroom undulated for a while.

Hurriquake week was something. Earthquake followed by some storm, forget which, a few days later.

I was taking a shower in SoCal and at first thought it was a semi engine braking outside my shitty motel. Lasted longer, and I figured it out. It didn’t even rate a 5, but the TV news absolutely freaked the fuck out with their coverage.

When I was a kid in St. Charles, MO, the New Madrid had a tiny hiccup. Plants rattled, and a new crack appeared in the sidewalk in front of the house. When it finally hits again, there’s going to be devastation up and down the Mississippi.
