    Thanks for the replies. Hoops is right I as looking for schools with both basketball and football programs run by former students at the school, but all the responses have been helpful.

    Technically, Sidney Lowe isn't a graduate of NC State. If I recall correctly, he had to earn his bachelor's somewhere else, I believe St. Paul's University in Virginia.

    This, from the Raleigh News & Observer a while back:

    To hold a job such as head coach at NCSU requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution. Lowe did not graduate from NCSU but said he was finishing up his degree work this month "at a very credible university." He declined to give additional details on his academic work at this time.
