At the risk of throwing off the 10:1 YF:rest of us ratio this tread's got going on, allow me to suggest two must-haves for any well-stocked bar:

    http://www.dirtysue.com/store/

    http://www.momastore.org/museum/moma/ProductDisplay_Spherical%20Ice%20Tray%20Set_10451_10001_57253_-1_26669_26669_57254

Outside of the liquor, these two items are my go-to for getting my drinkety-drink on.

My wife Alice is in the middle of making a walnut liqueur in which she has filled a big jar with vodka, green walnuts, lemon zest and cloves. After two months, she's supposed to remove the walnuts, then age the stuff for another four months or so.
Right now, the stuff looks like Valvoline WD-30. But I'll be back on the thread with a scouting report around Christmastime.

Had a friend suggest a Malibu-peach schnapps-lemonade drink last week. I think I had five.

They were tasty, and I don't like coconut at ALL. I didn't make them, but I'm assuming it's 1-1-1.

I have a bottle of this on my bar:

God knows what I'm supposed to do with it though. I don't even remember why I bought it. I've looked for recipes, and can't find anything I want to make.

I usually get a laugh from the bartender when I go up and order a "Michael Jackson."

    What's that? He'll ask...

I could go for one right now. The earthy smell is incomparable.

I've had a glass of the 25. I didn't know how much it cost until I got the bill, but by then I didn't care. It was amazing.

Ordinarily I would feel like a douchebag talking about marriage of spices but there's no other way to explain it. It's not booze, it's art.

    East New York Flip:

    1.5 oz. Bourbon

3/4 oz. Cream (Half & Half)

    3/4 oz. Honey

    Egg Yolk

Had to use the egg yolk. Tastes like an eggnog. Have to remember this one for the fall/winter.
