Well, I buy the beans and grind them every morning and make the coffee in a pot and drink two mugs (about four cups, actually). If I miss it for some reason, I feel a bit of a headache. I agree Starbucks tastes burned. I prefer either Panera Bread or Tim's, of course. I also try to use Schuil coffee, a Michigan brand. They have amazing flavors like Michigan Blackberry, or Blueberry Crumble, or my new fave, Peanut Butter Cup -- like drinking a Reese's! Here's the link:
http://www.schuilcoffee.com/ if you want to order online.

Isn't SunDrop made by the same people who make Cheerwine?

I brew and drink a pot every morning. I'll give up a lot. If my doctor ever said give up coffee, I'd say no way and take my chances.
I like my coffee like I like my women.

Trader Joe's has great coffee. A local chain, Ukrop's, has some pretty good stuff, too. Dunkin' Donuts is awfully good, just bought a bag of that. I have a machine that grinds and then brews. Pretentious? Yeah, a little. But you can tell the difference. Plus, the grinder serves as a pretty good alarm clock.

Mira, send me some info on the place where you get your coffee please.

I like tea, too, should probably drink more of that. I always add one Sweet 'n Low to my tea.

Does anyone know of a place to buy Trader Joe's coffee online. The Trader Joe's website does not ship unfortunately.

Can't stand the taste of coffee, even the smell of the coffee aisle at the grocery store makes me nauseous.

I don't drink anything with caffeine, I am anxious enough as it is. One glass of orange juice in the morning and one can of ginger ale with dinner. Other than that, just water with lemon in it.

No. Cheerwine and SunDrop is popular in North Carolina, but they're bottled by two different companies. I think SunDrop is now bottled by Dr Pepper, and Cheerwine is still headquartered in Salisbury, N.C., bottled by Carolina Beverage.

We have one of those machines at the Expendable house, and it produces good coffee. Much better than those machines that use the little disc-shaped filter. Those things make Sanka taste good.

Eight O'Clock 100% Colombian came out ahead of all the "non-flavored" coffees in terms of taste in testing by Consumer Reports, confirming something I already knew.

9. Three cups in the morning, from fresh ground beans that a.m. On rare occasions in the office at night I'll drink a cup (or two) if I need to recharge the batteries quickly. Maybe once a week, if that.

Back in the day I would pass up morning coffee if I was working that night, because I would drink 2-3 cups at work. But the office coffee was so bad, I gave it up.

And I refuse to get into the Starbucks routine. Half our desk troops out in the early evening to bring back an overpriced latte, leaving the rest of us scrambling to cover for them. But it's hard to argue with them when the copy desk chief is leading the caffeine brigade out the door.

Somewhere between 5-7 cups a day, all before noon. I have a cup of Earl Grey tea around 3 on most afternoons.

Tradrer Joe's is great. The price is lower than you think it would be, and I think they sell you a larger amount than many packaged, whole-bean coffees.

I just cringe when I see people open up a can of beans at the store and grind them on the spot. We use our Magic Bullet to grind, and it takes five to eight seconds of time.

I love TJs (had both dinner and wine from there last night), but I really don't think that coffee is strong enough.
