I realize they needed a nice, new place with luxury suites and all, and it looks likes it's going to be great. But I'll really miss Freedom Hall, or Cheat 'em Hall as some call it. Lifelong Cards fan from the womb, and I think it is a terrific place to watch the game and I'm a bit nostalgic. I still have my Dream Game t-shirt from 1983 when Louisville and Kentucky met in the regional finals in Knoxville.

Wish I could be there for the final game. It sets up perfect, last game in the Hall and they can take down No. 1. Great way to send out a classic facility.

And like crash, I'm all for getting dowtown as much as possible.

Drake goes scoreless for 11 MINUTES around halftime as Northern Iowa gets its act together and now leads by 8 at the first media timeout of the second half. The bubble takes a small sigh of relief.

One down - 64 to go.

Cornell clinches Ivy League title last night -- there is talk they could be as high as a No. 9 or 10 seed, which I think is way too high. I get it, they played a few tough games early, but there is no way that going through the Ivy League is the grind that teams from a lot of other conferences had to get through.

I think they should be a No. 12 seed at best.

I don't know, zag, I watched the game they played against KU and they looked pretty solid, even if it was a non-con game over the holidays. And I suspect the Ivy's maybe a little better this year than in years past, at least in the minds of fans like me who don't spend as much time poring over RPI and the like. I could see Cornell as a 10 without much complaint. Anything above that, though, you're right, it's a stretch. More likely, they'll be an 11, and give fits to whatever 5-seed they draw.

As I think I've said earlier, in recent years the Ivy champ has usually been a 13. Cornell has a better season resume than most Ivy champs, so they'll be bumped up a seed or two. But anything higher than 10 would really be a surprise from the committee.

Debating seeds this early is futile. Locks from smaller conferences will lose and that'll bump some teams up. I'd put Cornell in the 11-12 range, but that could change.

I just don't understand why Maryland would schedule a road game against a Big South team this late in the season.

It's a warm up to the ACC Tournament next weekend. Plus they're going to let them count it as a conference win.

BTW, Sylven Landesberg is academically suspended. This Virginia team wouldn't get past the Ohio Valley Conference semis without him.

You just wait Headbutt until Solomon Tat scores 20 today.

Actually you might be waiting a long time.

With Landesberg out, I suspect that losing streak won't get snapped this season.

It wasn't going to get snapped anyway.
