That was an all-time bed-shitting by Clemson.

Just had the displeasure of listening to Jay Williams on ESPNU during the Mizzou-Vandy game. I regret to inform you that the NBA's loss is now announcing's loss.

It won't get much more competitive for KU, which on Sunday heads to UCLA. When the schedule came out, that looked like it would at least be a moderate test. Now, not so much.

The Jayhawks play Michigan (Dec. 19) and Cal (Dec. 22) soon enough, followed by road trips to Temple (Jan. 2) and Tennessee (Jan. 10). Can't wait to see them play some real games. KU's SOS going into tonight's game? Down at 326th.

Biggest comeback in school history for the Illini (although the regional final against Arizona was more incredible). I'd imagine that's got to be a school-record collapse by Clemson.

That should rival Clemson's yearly ACC meltdown with that collapse tonight. IPTAY will not be happy about this.

I love watching Wisconsin play. I know a lot of people find the style boring, but from a basketball purist's perspective, it's refreshing.

IPTAY is much more ticked off about losing to the Chickens in the annual football showdown last Saturday in Columbia. Basketball is an afterthought to that athletic department.

Having said that, the basketball program got IPTAY's attention for all the wrong reasons now. Complete second-half faceplant.

Hard to be objective about this where I live, but Gonzaga seems to be fully reloaded.

After a flat first half at home last night, Matt Bouldin and Steven Gray showed Maui wasn't a fluke, leading the Zags' rally past an improved Washington State team.

Gray absolutely shadowed the Cougs' Klay Thompson all night. The nation's leading scorer eeked out 15 points, but it was on 6-for-21 shooting.

The end of the Texas Tech-Washington game was interesting last night. Singletary's last second shot was still in his hand when 0.0 was on the clock, yet was out of hand by the time the LEDs lit up the backboard. I know in the NBA it wouldn't have counted but in college I guess it does, but the rule seems almost contradictory.

Rule 5-7-2 states "Each period shall end when the red light or LED lights has become activated." However, later on it states in part b "In games with a 10th-of-a-second game clock display and where an
official courtside monitor is used, the reading of zeros on the game clock is to be used to determine whether a try for goal occurred before or after the expiration of time in any period. When the game clock is not visible, the officials shall verify the original call with the use of the red/LED light(s)."

Really strange. Tech won the game so it didn't become controversial but if it would have lost in OT it would have been really interesting.

The Big 12's pretty loaded when its 9th-to-12th best team (although Tech did look much more athletic than its recent teams) beats the preseason Pac-10 pick.

And it was glorious. And hilarious.

Even those few years where North Carolina was ass, I don't remember them being punked like Kentucky just punked them. Hit them with something along the lines of a 30-2 run.

And my hopes that John Wall was wildly overrated have evaporated.

Kentucky looks really, really sharp today. The Tar Heels, not so much.
