You think any tears will be shed if Sanders leaves for the NBA?

    Shitty season for VCU.

I have not seen a team that criticized at halftime as they were (off handed as well) by the ESPN group in a long, long time.

Great moment from the game, and I am unsure if anyone else noticed it, was Hanson did a dunk in traffic, and it might have been frustration, but he puffed his chest out and started talking trash to the Duke kid he dunked over.

The Duke fans stopped the organized chants and just jumped his ass. Mind you, UNC was down 30 when he did this.

Hard to imagine at 20-something and 8 but you are right. 0-7 in CAA games decided by single digits. Five blown leads of 10+ in the second half. The last five plus OT yesterday were so stunningly bad I ended up mumbling the rest of the night.

Wonder if Old Dominion is in regardless? This is probably the best scenario for them, because they'll either be in or they'll lose to a team with a top-60 RPI, which won't hurt their numbers that much. I can't imagine William and Mary would be in the bubble discussion, but they DO have wins against Maryland, Richmond and Wake Forest. If they lose tonight, at least they'll finally have a second NIT participation banner to hang from the rafters.

I wish WM had finished a little stronger because the out-of-league resume is awfully good. Best case for CAA is WM winning. I think ODU is in. But I'm not on the committee.

I'll say it again... Iowa is some kinda shitty this year. They played like they couldn't wait for spring break to start yesterday against the Rodents.

For how down the Pac 10 and SEC are this year, there has to be room for ODU in the 64/65.

Can't say about the Pac 10 but the SEC fanbois are chanting that at least five need to get in, with one more on the bubble. I don't see it. Kentucky, Tennessee and Vandy are locks, after that it is Miss. State, and Florida with Ole Miss on the bubble.
But not in my mind. Maybe Florida, but the SEC West laid a giant turd this season.
I believe it was the first time that the top four teams in the East were all 6-0 against the West.

Florida was the next best team after UK, Tenn and Vandy.
Ole Miss and State were behind the Gators, and none of those three deserves a bid unless they win the conference tourney.
Each, though, will be formidable in NIT, for sure.

The SEC should get three teams in.
The Pac-10 should get one, unless Cal loses in the Pac-10 title game.
The Big East should get seven
The Big Ten should get four
The Big 12 should get seven
    The ACC should six

Based on my math, take away six automatic qualifiers - there should only be 22 at-large bids for the major conferences (23 if Cal doesn't win Pac-10 tourney).

That should leave 12 at-large spots for the other conferences.

You figure the Atlantic 10 will suck up two of them and the Mountain West should suck up at least two of them -- so theoretically there should be seven or eight bid left for the other conferences.

This is the part where we need someone like Bubbler or Moderator -- someone who knows those smaller conferences well - to tell us where those other eight are likely to come from.......

Zag, I think the Big East is going to get eight. Syracuse, Villanova, West Virginia, Pitt, Louisville, Marquette, Georgetown and Notre Dame will likely all get in barring completely awful showings in the Big East tournament.

Yeah, you could be right - although I would suggest Notre Dame don't lose to Providence or whoever the shit team is they'll play on Wednesday.

As long as they survive that game, they are likely in, even if they lose Thursday to one of the top four seeds.
