As long as they continue to play hard in the second half, I'm OK with this game so far. Games like this are going to happen for UNC until they find a go-to scorer on the perimeter. They're a young team that will continue to improve through the season.

And just think, had he gone to nc state or duke, he could do this to UNC twice a year. (although he's injured/cramped and in the locker room now. not good.)

A fantastic pass by Drew and then finish by Thompson right there. With Wall out and UNC looking more confident, this one's not over yet.

Pitt and New Hampshire set the record last night for the lowest scoring first half in the shot clock era: Pitt led 15-7 at halftime.

UNH led 7-4 with 9:43 to play in the half but didn't score again till 2 minutes elapsed in the 2nd half.

And 3 starters didn't score for Pitt, which still won its 43rd non-con home game in a row, 47-32.

North Carolina has cut the lead to 59-54 with about 5 minutes to play. Cousins is sitting on the Kentucky bench with four fouls. This has been an entertaining game.

And now a shot-clock violation on Kentucky. Another chance to cut the lead here. Yep, 59-56 and UNC with the ball again.

And what was that Devil93 was saying about Davis not having great shotblocking ability. He's had a few big blocks in this second half.

On the 2nd one, Wall threw it directly at his hand. but it's odd to see a left-handed shot-blocker. He has an advantage at that point.

And Kentucky looked like the young team they are on that possession right there.

Edit: Thompson closes the gap to two points.

    In college.

I just don't see him on the low blocks in the NBA. Not yet at least.

He is averaging 2.4 bpg, while Vernando is averaging 5.5 bpg and Lauderdale has 3.7 bpg.

Is anyone else watching this game between Indiana and Pitt?

Both of these teams suck bad - what the hell happened to them?

If you watched Indiana at all last year, you wouldn't be surprised. And yeah, this is very much a down year for Pitt. I had the chance to get cheap tickets to this game and I just didn't care enough to do so. I can't imagine I would have said that during most of the rest of the decade.

Give me a break -- 33-29 at the half.
