Steve Alford is still the coach at New Mexico, right?

Have you watched Villanova the past few weeks or paid attention to Georgetown at all this season? And Cal?? Show me a good team they've beaten. I'm not saying these teams won't make it, but putting them in as a lock is a joke.

college basketball tournaments have to be the stupidest thing in all of sports. As a casual college basketball fan, I'm just glad they're so damn entertaining.

Terrible second half by IU. They had one heck of a year.

Georgetown sure looked like a Sweet Sixteen team today.

Georgia Tech eager to join Wake in the NIT. No WAY Georgia Tech can get in the real tournament (I refuse to say Big Dance) if it loses this game. No way.

And when they lose, those boosters start ponying up the rest of that $7.1 million, Georgia's education financial woes be damned.

Fricking Northwestern won, eh? Not surprised at all by that outcome.

Illini fans are enjoying IU's downfall. Found this on Illinois message board:

Nothing like getting excited over another team sucking while your team is throwing away a tournament bid.

As my boss mentioned today, I can't believe how much we'd love to see North Carolina win tonight. Wow, I can't believe I said that again! It won't last though. Tech blitzes them this second half and wins by a dozen.

I'm just stunned Virginia and Miami won. And heck, Georgetown too. And Marquette. What a day.

You can say that again. If Illinois doesn't beat Wisconsin, it's NIT time.
