You may have missed the news a couple years ago when the NCAA cracked down on Kelvin Sampson for cheating, put the Hoosiers on probation and pretty well cleaned out the program.

IU went 6-25 last year using nothing but walk-on-level players and scholarship freshmen.

This year, they're better but still thin off the bench and young.

So give it time. Purdue was in the same situation two seasons ago, and they're a monster now.

I don't know which is more shocking: that the Big Five is still a Philly tradition, or that the Palestra hasn't been torn down yet.

This staff is struggling at the moment to produce a winner.
It has struggled for a few seasons.

Iowa loses to another in-state rival. First UNI, now Iowa State.

They have become the Whitney Houston of college basketball. Once great - never bigger than Madonna - but are now hollowed out from abuse and inappropriate men (Bobby Brown/Steve Alford).

Dear Football Bat: They'll tear the statue of William Penn off the top of City Hall before anyone in Philly would let them tear down the Palestra. It ought to be on a list of National Historic Sports Sites.

Doesn't VMI consistently lead the nation in scoring?

MSU bombing UCLA, with guard Ravern Johnson now 10-of-12 with 26 points

    From the SEC Today:

    Kentucky 90 Indiana 73
Ole Miss 83 McNeese State 67
    Mississippi State 59 UCLA 39 (2ndH)

LSU plays an in-state foe today and Alabama plays highly-ranked Purdue

You know UCLA sucks when Long Beach beats them (for the first time ever).

    You're next, Kentucky!
