Bad day for the top 10 yesterday -- Duke, Purdue, West Virginia all go down. I had New Mexico at No. 13 this week but I might drop the Lobos altogether after losing twice in league play. I know that's a difficult league, but how can I keep the last-place team in a non-power league ranked? UNM has several nice wins -- Creighton, Dayton, Texas Tech, Texas A&M -- but no great wins.

You know who looks great right now? Baylor. Bears just destroyed Boomer yesterday in Waco and improved to 13-1. Northern Iowa probably cracks my Top 25 this week as well.

Dartmouth coach Terry Dunn quits right before game time. Didn't have a great stretch there (47-103).

That would have been something had the entire team refused to take the court.

Shit I wish Bruce Pearl would quit signing choir boys. I'm sure some badder dudes wouldn't have just gone on a 12-2 run against the Beakers.

KU has to feel fortunate going into halftime tied at 33, not to mention getting Chism his third foul when Pearl put him back in the game for the final two minutes. Surprised by that.

    This is a made-for-TV event.
In the tourney and under any amount of pressure, KU'd wax-em, I think

Steven Pearl looks just like his dad, minus about 50 pounds and the permatan.

Is this the year a super-six conference gets only one bid? Washington swept in the desert for the first time since 2003 to fall to 1-3 in the Pac-10. Only two teams above .500 already in a league that had a pathetic non-conference season. Cal and UW completely underwhelming.

Tennessee has played the No. 1 ranked team in the country 10 times. It's won 4 of those games.

40 percent. I wonder what other programs can say that?

40 percent is also the percentage of UT student-athletes who are convicted felons. ;)
