Nice comeback by Chapel Hill. But all that shooting and conditioning needs a LOT more coaching. A lot more.

As I just told IJAG, they should now fall to the bottom of the top 25, which is where they should have been all year. That's not even close to a top 10 team.

More importantly, George Mason beat JMU by 11 to remain tied for first in the CAA.

But as you well know, some rankings are based on reputation.

Unbeatable Virginia stays atop the ACC with a 75-57 win against Miami. Break up the Hoos!

Ga Tech, but outside of Texas, Kentucky and Kansas, does anyone really scare the shit out of you in college hoops this year?

  8. UNC's loss will plummet them from 13 to 15, guaranteed.

And in March they'll be gearing to play a first-round NCAA game or two somewhere near campus.

The Cavs have won three game against teams that were ranked when they came to town. I'm not sure any of the three will be in the Top 25 when the season ends, but still quite a bit better than anybody would have expected.

Tony Bennett will be coach of the year in that league, write that down now.
As discussed earlier, they're not THAT good as in best in the ACC good. But they're good, better than people expected, and the league this year ain't all that. I'm guessing a final landing spot int he 5-7 range for VA but I would not be at all surprised to see the Cavs with one of the four first-day byes.

Thankfully there are zero NCAA games in North Carolina this year. Closest place for Duke/UNC are either Buffalo or Jacksonville FLA.
