If UNC continues on the road toward bubbledom, it would be great to see the Tar Heels in the play-in game.

    Better yet, the NIT.

Never happen. Play-in game is for the two worst teams in the field. Only way Carolina's going to the play-in game is if it loses the rest of its regular season games, then wins the ACC tournament. Even then, they'd probably get a 13 seed.

I can dream, can't I? NC can go to Dayton and whoop up on some 10-17 conference champ, then go have to play Kansas in Okie City. At least this way someone would actually give a damn about the Tuesday game.

I'm sure Kansas would just LOVE to play North Carolina in the first round while the other 1-seeds are playing Lafayette, Jackson State and Quinnipiac.

I know. UVA is way over their heads right now.

But, but, but UNC has two lottery picks starting on its frontline!!!

I really hope that wasn't aimed at me. For one thing, I've been saying all along that UNC didn't deserve to be anywhere near the top 10. Secondly, their frontline is by far the strength of their team. That's hasn't been the problem (except now since Zeller and Davis are both hurt). The problem has been the lack of a real scoring threat at guard. And their propensity to get jumped on in the early parts of games because they think their name alone will bring them a win.

That's true. But at the same time what ACC teams should the Cavs really be all that afraid of right now? Duke has shown it is beatable. We all know about the Tar Heels' struggles. They've already beaten Ga. Tech.

No, I don't think they are going to win the conference, but I won't be shocked by any games they win from this point.
