Ole Miss is supposed to be decent this year, but not as good as 'Nova.

The folks in Bloomington might want to show a little more patience. That they thought anyone could quickly repair the mess Kelvin Sampson made is delusional.

Eh, I think Kentucky's problems are smaller than North Carolina's. UK at least has all the tools to be a top team, but I don't think Carolina does. The Tar Heels don't seem to have anyone (right now) capable of taking over a game when UNC absolutely needs it to happen, and they really lack a big-time threat on the perimeter. Kentucky has depth in the front and backcourts, solid point guard play, and the biggest weakness coming into the season appears to be better than expected (outside shooting). The defense has struggled, but it's early.

I don't think either deserves to be ranked in the top five right now. Projecting out over the long run though, I think Kentucky is a top five team. I don't feel the same way about UNC.

Watching the CBE tourney from Kansas City this evening. Pitt looks good with the young kids they have.

Texas, after sleepwalking in the 1st half, dismantled Iowa down in the paint and gutted them out.

My grandpa and my old man called me during the and asked me "why in the hell is Iowa playing Hoosier ball?" In other words, they wanted to know why Lickliter had 5 white kids on the floor for Iowa for the majority of the game. For as long as they have been Iowa fans, tonight was the first time they've watched Iowa played with an all-white starting lineup. They hardly saw that with Ralph Miller, Lute Olson, George Raveling, and Tom Davis. My neighbor said the same thing just now as I took the garbage out to the trash bin.

Hawkeyes fans better get used to watching "Hoosiers", because it's going to be painful to watch.

As someone who had Texas (-15 1/2), I was sick at half-time.

I had a $5 bet with my co-worker that Texas would handle their shit in the first half and boat-race Iowa. That was a pathetic effort, but nonetheless, it was boring as hell.

Arizona and Wisky should be a better game.

I think my television is broken. Arizona looks like it's at least trying to play defense. Not always succeeding, mind you, but trying.

Is Bo Ryan always a prick or does he just play one on television?

I don't know. But that's the first time I seen that from him.

I love staying up late to watch the Maui and the Great Alaska Shootouts.

I just turned this back on - how the hell is Arizona winning this game?

Well, Zag, Arizona did not win the game but:

It was only an 8-poiint game at halftime
Bo(ring) Ryan's system assures that Wisky will not put any team away.
It was a four-point game either way for the final 10 minutes.

    And:

    The over/under was 127 1/2..final score was 126
