I always love when people describe a basketball job as "hopeless." Any program is one recruiting class away from erasing "hopeless." It certainly isn't easy and it takes a special talent, but this isn't football where years of bad choices drags down your roster

All sorts of reports flying around - most reliable from silive.com - saying Hurley will have a decision about URI by tomorrow morning.
Is it in poor taste to drive to an athletic director's house? Because he's not returning my calls. It's on my way home and it's not too late. Is that a bad move?

Nope. The worst he can do is not answer the door or tell you that he has no comment. And see if he's heard of The Watchtower while you are there.

Remember when College of Charleston was the hot mid-major? Shame they couldn't sustain it.

Did Cremins ever make it back from medical leave this year?

And speaking of the Cougars, SoCon running mate Samford is in the market as well.

    Randy Livingston?

Or, depending upon your definition, Duane Spencer by way of Georgetown?

I'd say Livingston. Retreads don't count.

And then there was one of Livingston's high school teammates, who went to the University of Tennessee to play football ...

Bruce Weber has apparently been offered the Southern Illinois job.
