I wish Manning would have waited a week. After Marshall leaves Wichita, Manning could have had WSU.

That big stud that committed to K-State has withdrawn his commitment, and he also said he will not follow Frank Martin.

ESPN has learned that Groce's the man at Illinois: http://espn.go.com/chicago/ncb/story/_/id/7749743/ohio-bobcats-john-groce-agrees-coach-illinois-fighting-illini-sources-say

Of course, there's no mention of CBS's Jeff Goodman, who had that scoop at least an hour or two before.

It's not news until ESPN's Andy Katz learns it!

    I didn't see Goodman's story, sorry.

In Athens, John Groce was the baddest man in the whole damn town. But I guess the Bobcats couldn't save time in a bottle.

Wait, I may be thinking of somebody else.

The guy you're thinking of is at Northwestern State, where he'll stay for eternity.

I'm certainly not blaming you. I'm not really blaming Andy Katz. Clearly, it's an ESPN-wide mentality.

Growing up in Tulsa, I miss the days when it was a top program for the level. I remember when Self took Tulsa to the Elite 8 in 2000, the DW Reynolds Center had a big watch party there for the loss to UNC. It was a blast. Heck, even when Buzz Peterson took the team to an NIT championship the next year, the city was, errrr, buzzing with excitement all March.

Tubby Smith, Nolan Richardson, Bill Self. TU used to be a springboard for coaches. Would love to see that happen again.

Doug Gottlieb apparently wants to coach K-State:

Some of the logic in that article is pretty illogical.
