Nothing to link but from what I had read he'll stay at URI and play for Hurley.

Yep, since then I've seen a link saying he'll stick around. Makes sense, since he'd just have one year of eligibility left. I imagine that if he does rejoin his dad, it will be in a postgrad, immediate-eligibility situation.

I've heard the same thing when he was at Wintrhop and was looking to bust out of there. Marshall is a good coach and is a consistent whiner.

Chef, I don't think Weber had to feel like he hit the lottery. Far from it. I didn't feel that he needed to return to Carbondale. You can't recreate what you did in the past, plus his guy Lowery got booted from there.

A fresh start was needed. SIU wasn't the answer.

K-State's AD went from a no-name to a household name in a three week span. The way Frank Martin handled it, it left the impression that Currie was the bad guy. As far as Jacob Pullen is concerned, he should worry more about staying on a NBA bench than tweeting to K-State players about bad of a coach Weber is. Pullen never made the Final Four. Weber made it, with a little help from the guys Self recruited.

Most of the KSU players were reportedly happy to see Martin go, but if they think that they're going to convince Currie to promote the assistant as their new coach, Currie just showed them that they're not going to get what they want.

    A little help from Self?

Bruce Weber first 3 years: 89-16, 39-9 conference

Bruce Weber last 6 years: 121-85, 50-56 conference

Plenty of Self-help ... and nowhere near enough self-help at the end.

Pullen's the school's all-time leading scorer. That doesn't get him a say in who gets hired, but it means he can voice his opinion.

This is a couple of days old, but the guy who got Tiger Woods to storm the court is now a D-I head coach at Southern Utah:

No way is Calipari back in Lexington next year.

Dolan supposedly wants him and wants him bad.

Heard somewhere a 50 million dollar contract over 6 years.

Who would be a top candidate to replace PayPal Cal? Smart? Stevens? Somebody more seasoned? William Wesley?

I'd guess Billy Donavan at UK. No way they try and get a "hot coach" - they don't want another Gillispie.

And not surprised about the TCU move to Ohio. Hell - the Horned Frogs were looking at enjoying the winter months in the Big East. Though you figure TCU would be looking up at Kansas, Baylor, Texas and West Virginia at least.

Also figure he sees the Ohio job as a fresh shot clock. Four years at TCU, no NCAA bids, a losing record, figure he'll have more time at Ohio.

Kentucky has tried to get Billy Donovan at least once, right?
