The team or teams that beat UNC will have to be good on the boards, be able to body the Heels and slow the game down.

They have had some mystifying losses this season, but I wouldn't be surprised if Virginia Tech beat UNC.

The Hokies can body up the Heels underneath, but Virginia Tech is so offensively challenged that the gap between it and Chapel Hill is probably too much.

Of course, I've been wrong before. :) 8)

I wouldn't think so this year. But, hell, Tech is one buzzer beater at Wake away from being off to a 3-0 ACC start. Tech is better than people think, a probable NIT team, but I don't see it winning at UNC.
I didn't see it last year either and it happened.

  5. VT is the worst shooting good basketball team I've ever seen. I don't think they're NIT material because they've been banned from the Garden because of that stinkbomb they threw up there earlier this season.

Didn't they win the tournament there? Beat Hofstra and St. John's?

And that's a great description. Even last year's NCAA team was spotty when it came to shooting. It was Dowdell and hope someone else got hot.

  7. The SJ game was the worst offensive display since the cut the bottoms out of the peach baskets.

I saw a D-2 women's game last week that set basketball back 50 years. So while I can't quite equal you, I can come close.

Isn't that facility used to stinkbombs from the Knicks on a regular basis?

Hell of a valid point here...

I'd love to see Bob Knight coach a really talented team one more time before he calls it quits because when he has a really talented team clicking it's pretty fun to watch. What he does from time to time even now with a bunch of slappies playing is pretty remarkable.

In 2008, how many talented players are going to want to play for Knight? Not too many.
