To call that game a rockfight is to insult rockfights.

It is used to Knick stinkbombs. Almost a decade of Michael Bay-esque hoops will do that.

Probably has more to do with having to play in Lubbock than having to play for Knight.

If Virginia Tech lost to Wake, right? How has Wake been doing this season?

Shit, Tech lost to Richmond and ODU Moddy.

The ACC is not that good this year. Just face the facts. It's UNC, Duke and two more teams, maybe three that should make the NCAA Tourney.

If more than five teams get in from the ACC then there are some legit teams that got robbed. I usually really like the ACC, but with the non-con losses of Maryland and Tech and UVA, I just can't call the ACC one of the top 4-5 conferences this year. (Pac 10, SEC, Big East, Big 10 and Big 12 are probably all better)

Wake's tough to guage. They're 11-5, beat the snot out of BYU and gave Vandy a great game. But getting beat by 40 at B.C. certainly doesn't look too good.

I see a team that has feasted on the weak.

VOLS are exposing Vandy as the frauds most of us knew them to be.

Do a lot of fraud teams go to the Sweet 16?

If today was selection day, the ACC would only get three teams: UNC (RPI of 1), Duke (9) and Clemson (28). I think five would be quite a stretch. The current RPIs: Miami (41), FSU (46), N.C. State (55), BC (55, Va. Tech (69), Wake (73), Virginia (87), Ga. Tech (102) and Maryland (124).

Clearly, the best league is the Pac-10: UCLA (6), Arizona (10), Washington State (23), Oregon (25), Stanford (36), Cal (58), USC (68), Arizona State (71), Washington (115) and Oregon State (228). Obviously Oregon State isn't going to give the Bruins the sort of challenge that Georgia Tech gave UNC, but four in the top 25 RPIs is impressive.
