Who else would be on St. John's short list?

I know there were some not-so-friendly remarks when Roy kept his Tar Heel starters on the floor til the bitter end against NC State, so why no bashing when UCLA pulls the same trick last night on Oregon State?

All this Ben Howland suckfest, and he's out there running it up on the worst basketball team in the BCS conferences. Poor form, Ben. Poor form.

So Lou gave the blessing of these recruits that placed the Redmen (never the Red Storm, IMHO) in all of this hot water?

These guys seem a long way from Mullin, Brust, Wennington, Jackson, Sheldon Jones and the other guys who brought St. John to near greatness (thanks Georgetown) in the 1980s.

Javis stopped recruiting NYC prep talent because he believed that JUCO players were hungrier. Those players were the ones that got St. John's into NYC police blotters.

Anyone ready to hop on the Florida bandwagon yet?

23-0 run puts the Gators up 34-6 over Vandy with 8 minutes in the first half.

    Now it's 36-9 at the under-eight.

This is a day late, but check out this dunk by Alabama's Senario Hillman, right in the face of Auburn's Lucas Hargrove on Saturday. Hillman is listed at 6-1 (but he's probably closer to 5-11), while Hargrove is 6-6.

BTW, it's the second dunk, not the first one. (Though the first one, by Rico Pickett, is phenomenal in its own right).

Vandy cuts it to 46-31 at the half. Outscored Florida 25-12 in the final 7:04 of the first half after falling behind by 28.

Beverly played pretty damn good for his first real appearance in a tough spot.

Rob Garrison did transfer, to Niagara.

Garrison transferred to Niagara I believe. I think he's from that area.

EDIT: Whoops, StormSurge beat me to it.

I'd say coaches of his ilk -- smooth talkers who can recruit (cheat?) like crazy.

I'm not saying it will happen, but imagine if they went ALL OUT and tried to get Pitino. He'd certainly fit the bill.

  11. Kansas is still the best team in the country.
