I noticed that as well, and I do not like it either.

I think you want to get "Orange" in November, but I think they will be tough in February.

I think St. Joe's is better than you give them credit for. They have a nice group of scorers and that team always plays defense. Worst case, I think they're a bubble team. And yeah ... "Orange" ... reeks like an Oregon deal of "let the players choose the unis."

  3. I don't any part of that SU bunch in 2009, I'll tell you that.

This doesn't answer the question about the Orange, but I do know they first busted out those unis during the Big East Tournament last season. I think they're sweet-looking.

And yeah, I don't think I'd want to be Paul Harris today in practice.

Isn't it their mascot, since they had to drop the "men" at the end of it to be politically correct?

I think he's asking why the unis read 'Orange' instead of 'Syracuse'. I could be wrong, though.

Maybe it's a home/road thing. Do their uniforms say "Syracuse" on the road?

I just tried looking for some pics of those new road unis, but couldn't find any. You may be correct.

The orange road uniforms say "Syracuse" in white over a silver number with a white outline. And unlike the plain white uniforms, the road unis are modified throwbacks of old 'Cuse uniforms. The shorts have a navy and white checkerboard stripe on each side. Nike has also added a spandex-like long-sleeve undershirt for the road uniforms, which also have the white and navy checkerboard stripes on the arms. Syracuse also, reportedly, has a navy blue alternate road uniform, though I haven't seen it yet.

You can see the Syracuse, Florida, Ohio State and Arizona "System of Dress" uniforms at the SOD website (systemofdress.com).

The jersey and sleeves are two-piece, even though it looks in this picture like they're joined.
