I disagree, it's Calipari. He could get those guys to shoot better, and so could Bruce Weber while we're on the subject.

Calipari is the reason a 73% free throw shooter choked when his team's season was on the line?

AgatePage's post is exactly why I argued above that the free-throw percentages during the regular season are pretty much meaningless once you get around to one-and-done. It's more about nerve and less about skill.

Just like last year in the Xavier-Ohio State game, when Justin Cage bricked the free throw that would have won the game for Xavier. Cage was 75% for the year, and the pressure just got to him. Xavier shot 74.1% as a team last year, so you would have liked their chances in a situation where one toss decides the game. But it clearly didn't work out.

Lots and lots of empty seats at Stegman (sp) Coliseum today.
Used to be when UK came to town, the place automatically amped up a notch or two.
And eventually it may be that way again.
    Not at Georgia today.

Big game in the Pac-10 today. Washington State, which is 3-3 in its last six games, hosts No. 14 Stanford, which has won five consecutive games.
Wazzu can ill afford an 0-2 showing at home against the Cal-Stanford duo.
Game is on FoxSports nationally, I'm pretty sure. It is for sure on FSN Southwest.

This really is "Truth or Consequences" for the Cougs. They just are not good enough to survive Low going 0-for-9 from 3-point range as he did against Cal. If he hits one of the stinking nine, they go to OT. These are the kinds of games they always won last year, so we'll see. Right now, to me, they look no better than a No. 6 seed. Hope is the Cal loss pissed them off enough so they'll regain that hunger they had last year. That cool demeanor that has helped them overcome so many late deficits to win is starting to look like complacency and Tony Bennett sounds very frustrated.

To paraphrase Ebby Calvin Laloosh, I expect Arizona to announce its presence with authority today. I like the Cats over UCLA, with great matchups between Jordan Hill v. Kevin Love and Jerryd Bayless v. Darren Collison. Big bubble game today with ASU at USC.

Baylor up 4 at Texas shooting 50 percent from the field. Could set up an expectedly huge game next week when Baylor heads to Kansas.

Wow, great block by Thabeet for UCONN as their game against Pitt looks like it's going to come down to the wire.

Wow. I just flipped over to that game and you weren't kidding. Lot of prime seats are holding air right now, and I'm assuming everyone didn't just run to get a drink.

Memphis only beating UTEP at home by 2 points with 5:45 left. Can't find where it's on TV anywhere that I can receive it.

I was just going to mention that. Maybe ESPN can show bonus coverage like they did for the Kansas loss.

Memphis was up by 4 at half, and Seth Davis said in studio that the Tiggers would "pull away quickly"
    Hasn't happened.

Kentucky usually gives the tall reserve, Coury, good minutes.
He hasn't played much at all in second half today.
Patterson's really looked good in the middle.
UKats hanging on with under 3 to play, up by three or four.
