Blair and Young are really good underneath for Pitt. This could have been a top 5 team if Fields and Cook didn't get hurt.

Missouri only down five now at home against Kansas State. Could be one hell of a letdown for a team that three days ago beat arguably the best team in the country.

Five in a row for UConn. Thabeet played really well inside today, and he's improved considerably on the free throw line. Some tough D at the end and a clutch drive from Price.

Even though Memphis survived, I wonder if it loses poll support because it struggled to beat a No. 108 RPI team at home?

So the network here joins in progress the Wazzu game.
First thing I hear from one of the announcers - he refers to Wazzu as "Washington"
Someone was talking about that in a thread last week.

Sounded like Bilas, though I can't be sure.

I can't believe Memphis missed 20 free throws. They are not going to make it deep in the tournament if that happens.

  7. But they made 21. :D

1-for-17 on 3-pointers was impressive, as well.

Memphis has its flaws, but no one will make them pay for it.

St. John's at South Florida tonight in prime time. Millions of television sets in the Tri-State and Tampa region will hopefully not be tuned in. There are impressionable young basketball players who do not need to be haunted by that suckfest.

    Massive win for Missouri.

As a supporter of Bob Knight and a big proponent of kids going to class (can't bank on a pro shot when the NBA Draft has only two rounds), I gotta say, it's a pretty big win for the type of program that Mike Anderson is trying to establish.

    Good for them.

Fun fact: Entering today, Memphis ranked 337th out of 341 Division I teams in free throw shooting percentage. Even if they do make a run to the national title game, I could see them blowing it at the line, like KU did not too long ago against Syracuse.

EDIT -- Thank you, Mizzou! And yes, I was rooting for Mizzou, simply because K-State sat all alone atop the Big 12 standings after beating KU the other night. I was curious how the Wildcats might handle success, and I hope this is an indication of things to come.
