Oh, I get that. I'm just wondering if that play was foul-worthy at any point in the game.

Some great quotes in the AP gamer.

Seeing Stringer in the postgame, it's clear to me the Imus reaction wasn't over the top for her. She's just really dramatic. I could understand being pissed but the dismay about how her great players, and Tennessee, didn't deserve that ending? Tone it down a bit.

Kansas -- after being pretty lucky to beat Baylor on Saturday w/o hitting a 3-pointer -- loses to Texas because it forgets to get the ball inside to two players who had dominated the first half.
I still like Kansas as a Final Four team, but only if it can start learning from these kinds of mistakes.

Yeah, just as someone who had never heard of her before last year it was actually somewhat refreshing to realize that wasn't an act with the Imus thing. But at the same time, she's seems pretty overwrought in how she speaks.

    Final Four?

Shit, if they don't win the tournament this year, I'll PayPal you $20.

Just two more reasons why referees should have to address the media after the game too. Or at least make a member of the media a delegate to take questions and ask a few of the officials after each game. I know they used to do that at the NCAA tourney.

    Oh, BTW:

While I agree that it wasn't a good call, if there was a tenth of a second on the clock, the 'Nova player shouldn't have put himself in position to make any contact, especially in a game where 48 fouls were called and he knew the refs had called plenty of tick-tack fouls.

On top of that, before anyone starts bitching about 'Nova getting screwed (which again, I agree the call was bad), maybe the Wildcats should have shot a tad better than 13 percent in the second half and 25 percent for the game. That would've helped.

I've been around sports long enough to know one thing: if you're in position to get jobbed by the referees, in most cases you didn't do enough to win the game anyway.

Okay . . . but when you're a double-digit dog and you've climbed the mountaintop to get in the game, it's infuriating to get hosed on the last turn of the card . . .

Wow, can I get in on that action? You do realize your coach is Bill Self, right?

    The call did suck.

    But...

    1. It's better that it happened now instead of at MSG in March.

    2. If Nova had anything that resembled a play for the last possession, they might not have placed themselves in that situation.

    3. If Nova would have been better than 4-for-32 (Big East basketball, catch it!!!) from the floor in the second half, they could have been ahead by 5-6 in the last few minutes.

Still, that call was on par with the screw job Brett Hart was given in Montreal from Vince.
