I hear what you are saying. I'm a big fan of Wazzu, I just found it interesting they are playing such terrible teams. But you are right, since the Pac-10 is so good their RPI will be fine, whereas Gonzaga has to play the big boys early on because its conference sucks.

  3. It was. Made the move from D-II this year, I think. It's a stupid name change. This school and Presbyterian College, right down the road from there (and slightly smaller than Wofford), should have stayed D-II.

Speaking of the Carolinas region, saw where Cleveland State pulled up to .500 with a neutral court win against ACC competition

Cleveland State 69, Florida State 66, OT
    (November 17)

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Florida State lost an overtime thriller 69-66 to Cleveland State at the Glenn Wilkes Classic on Saturday night.

Isaiah Swann's shot with .04 second remaining dropped, but was waved off by referees because time had expired before Swann took the shot. Cedric Jackson, who had a game-high 27 points on 9-of-14 shooting, hit the final two free-throws to put Cleveland State (2-2) up by three.

Jackson was also 8-for-12 from the free-throw line. J'Nathan Bullock added 19 points as the Vikings scored 24 points off 17 Florida State turnovers.

Does anyone know a good website which lists all of the games on TV this season?

Probably depends on your region. What they show in Seattle obviously is gonna be different then what they show in Detroit or Boston....

free-throws? AP style is so lame sometimes. That's almost as bad as 'Jackson went 3-for-14 from the floor.' It's not 3-for-14. It's a 3-for-14 performance from the floor!!! DAMMIT!!!

  8. I've seen some season-preview mags in the past with schedules for nationally televised games, but I haven't seen that in a while. This is the only Web site I've found. It looks pretty accurate: http://mattsarz44017.tripod.com/basketball2007.html.

New Orleans (no, not the Hornets) wins 65-63 at NC State

Siena beats Stanford 79-67 at home

Webby U. beats Florida State 68-67

Is the mania affecting college football crossing over to basketball? One can only hope.

The ACC just isn't that deep this season when you get past UNC and Duke. N.C. State was supposed to be the third good team. I guess not?
