Chickenshit end to that NC State/Villanova game...

I guess I can agree, but don't blame NCSU for the officiating crew. With a minute left, Gavin Grant pulled down a nice offensive rebound off a missed free throw, was almost sideswiped and called for traveling.

Then the foul on Grant with .4 seconds to go, then the near-miss on the other end with the deflection on a full-court pass.

Strange. But perhaps wins over the Chickens and Villanova help the Wolfpack's cause in the likelihood that the Atlantic Coast Conference gauntlet nicks it up a bit ...

Anyone catch the end of Arizona @ Kansas Sunday night?

This Budinger kid for AZ starts shooting when he walks in the gym. KU lucky to win in OT.

Speaking of shooting when they walk in the gym, Butler starts making when they walk in the gym. 16-of-24 from 3-point range against Texas Tech (who beat Gonzaga the day before) in the Great Alaska Shootout Sunday morning. Tech shot 60 percent, including 50 percent from three, had only two turnovers in the second half, and still lost by 10 after a two-point deficit at halftime. Butler could not miss and many of the shots were from 25-feet plus.

Had Rush made that prayer before OT, it would have been the most amazing shot in Allen Fieldhouse history.

Well, they're now officially better than I thought they would be. But the AP writer should be flogged for writing this lede in reference to Tim Floyd not starting his freshman point guard: Hold the Mayo.

Yeah, but you would have to figure SOMEONE would go that route.

SIU couldn't hold the Mayo that's for sure.

Wisconsin was hanging with Duke early, but Trevon Hughes -- the Badgers' leading scorer -- picked up two fouls and the Blue Devils are trying to pull away.
