Who cares? The Big Ten does just fine when it matters in the NCAA Tournament.

That was one of the worst, most boring games I've watched in the past few seasons.

At least we didn't get Northwestern-Virginia.

How does Virginia, a decent ACC school, get matched up with Northwestern?

Are the Wildcats considered a decent, middle-of-the-pack team in the Big Ten this year?

    No. They're dogshit, like always.

  5. I'd give alma mater $70 million for a 6-11 guy who can rebound and score.

You had Dwyane Wade. That not enough for you?

The ACC almost always get the measure of the match-ups. It's why the whole concept is bullshit and the ACC "dominance" over the Big Ten is also bullshit.

Funny, for example, how Duke wasn't playing Wisconsin two years ago, but played an Indiana team in decline two years running, now the Badgers pop up on the Blue Devils sked in Durham in a year where Wisconsin is going to fall back a bit.

It's OK though. Seeing how the Big Ten often gets at least one, if not two teams into the Final Four in many years, it's all eventually forgotten.

No Big Ten team, at this point of the season, seems to be on par with UNC and Duke right now. I guess you could have given Duke a Michigan State or Indiana, but whould that result have been much different? Possibly. And then, who do you let play UNC?

I think Indiana could've scored well enough to stick with them.

Hell, last year (I think) Duke pounded IU in the first half and the Hoosiers rallied in the second. And IU wasn't nearly as good last year as they are this year.

Michigan State is kicking N.C. State around the gym. Good start to the third day of the Challenge for the Big Ten.

Which brings up an interesting question I have always asked myself when it comes to Duke visiting a Big 10 school...

Duke had no problems playing @ Indiana, @ MSU, and @ Michigan, but wouldn't go to Champaign to play Illinois, opting to play in Chicago. Iowa had to bus to Chicago to play Duke a few years ago, much to the chagrin of Iowa fans because they have always wanted to have Duke play at Carver-Hawkeye and return the favor from when Iowa went to Cameron in January '93.
