Gonna be a helluva battle for the WCC this year. Two legit Top 25 teams with the Zags and Saint Mary's, with both beating Big East schools last night. SMC already has a win over Oregon and the Zags play Washington State Wednesday night.

Don't put much stock in this one. Washington is just not very good and they are an honorary member of the Big Sky on the road. One of the worst road teams in America last year, winning only at Arizona State.

 

Winthrop, Liberty and Richmond have all won at Minges this season. Gonna be a long year in Greenville.

 

You, of course, mean Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum.

 

One of the toughest arenas to get to in America. I have some bad memories of that place...

 

I mean home of the Purple Punks and home of some of the worst inferiority complexes I've seen.

Then again, much of the inferiority complex is over basketball. Hmmm ... wonder if ECU would beat any of the Big Four. Ah, no - and include Davidson, UNC Wilmington and probably Charlotte to the list.

Good game on FSN West right now between UCLA and Texas.
The 'Horns had a 12-point halftime lead, but now the Bruins are leading 41-40 with about 12 minutes left in the game.
UCLA still doesn't look fully in sync as this is only Collison's second game back, and Michael Roll's first.
Still, a fun game to watch between two Top 10 teams.

It sure seemed like DJ Augustine walked about 500 steps on that last fluke alley-oop play against UCLA, but I guess it doesn't matter. Looks like the same official who ruled Kellen Winslow wasn't forced out of bounds in the Browns-Cardinals game was officiating this one.
Wow. Sucks for UCLA to have its first loss come on that kind of play.

 

It sucks worse to drop a home game to an 8-seed come March.
