McDermott's got to be one of the most unusual players in college hoops.

The guy throws up double-doubles with rebounds and assists, and he's a power forward.

People talk about Kevin Love being the best big-man passer in the game. To that I say BS -- check out McDermott.

Butler will be undefeated for a while again, and will probably be a top 5 team at some point this season ... schedule is going to play out nicely for them.

I'm itching to see the new Newark arena and since Seton Hall plays there, I figured it would be a cheap way to see the new place. Who would be good to see play? Among the home-schedule highlights include NC State, UConn, Louisville, Notre Dame & Marquette.

PS - Where is the best place in the arena to watch a game? Behind the rim, a few rows up, half-court or behind the benches, if available/affordable.

Retro unis from its 1941 NCAA championship team.

Go to the Marquette game and see if you can land a courtside seat behind the MU bench ... you might have a 50/50 chance of being verbally accosted by its overrated head coach.

Heh-heh-heh. I've been waiting for a chance to unleash my inner unholy hybrid of Yankee Stadium Bleacher Creature & generic Philadelphia sports psychopath fan. Speaking of losing one's mind, just saw the prices for seats. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeiiiit. No such thing as a cheap seat in that house. They better start giving discounts to people who use NJ Transit to get to games at The Rock.

Another swell turn in Billy Gillispie's impressive start in Lexington. Rumors I haven't seen confirmed say a few more players are trying to leave.

As long as it ain't Patterson, let 'em leave. It ain't like they're setting the world on fire anyway.

Any coach, regardless of the program, needs players that buy in to what he's trying to do.

I'm not saying that as a UK fanboy; I'm just saying.

Notice the differences in the prices.

I would almost go with E-Bay. I saw prices of 100+ No way is that worth it.

Oh, I definitely agree. I've covered plenty of situations like this in football and basketball. If they want to go, it's usually best to oblige.

It's just fun to see Cats fans squirm.
