No big deal, Legion is an absolute galactic-class head case, a truly breathtaking ballhog and defensive slacker, with a certifiable lunatic Pharisee mother (a showboating Jesus-freak), who has been bought and sold half a dozen times in the past five years. A primadonna who ripped his high school coach to the media after winning the state championship his junior year (when he was already allowed to shoot every time he touched the ball). Anybody stupid enough to take him and his entourage on deserves everything it gets.

The kid sounds like a dipshit. It'll be interesting to see how desperate Beilein is for talent if he does indeed want to transfer to Michigan.

This transfer might be the second-dumbest one of the year behind UConn's Marcus Johnson. Legion pissed away a whole year of eligibility by being on the team for what, seven games?

Beilein would be an absolute fool to take him. Sure, he could help them go 12-18 next year instead of 9-21. Big whoop. In exchange, you'd have a virtually endless soap opera as long as he remained on the roster.

While Amaker didn't accomplish much else in Ann Arbor, at least he did clear out the psychopaths and screw-loose head cases Ellerbe had packed the roster with. Beilien's got to be too smart than to get on that loony-toons merry-go-round.

If he's enrolled somewhere else in January, he'll be eligible in mid-December.

Yeah, you're right. But it still doesn't change my original point. Talk about impatience.

    EDIT: here's the SI link
    http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/basketball/ncaa/12/04/legion.kentucky/index.html

Reports out of Lexington and on CNNSI.com that Legion has reconsidered.

FWIW, Joe Crawford was the last player Kentucky signed from Detroit. Crawford re-opened his recruitment after originally committing to Michigan, chose UK, then decided to transfer in December of his freshman year. Because he signed an LOI with UK, he would've had to sit out the following semester and the following season, so he decided to return to UK.

Legion is following that plan exactly, apparently.

I like Wisconsin, Marquette and UWM. If not for UWM, and probably lots of beer and weed for dear old mom and dad, I would not exist. Go Panthers!

No wonder Kentucky is struggling. At least one of its players is too busy eating boogers.</a>

Well, evidently Legion's mom is a complete wacko. Here's a profile Jerry Tipton did on her.

And Legion never did sign a letter of intent with UK so I don't know the rules on that if he does leave. He justneeds to get away from mama and grow the hell up a bit.

I'd say she was a BIG part of the problem, and Gillispie pretty much said so in his statement.

Oh, and excellent video of the booger eating.

But what do you expect from someone from West Virginia :)

I got a headache from reading that. Good piece of reporting, though. Not surprising in the least coming from Tipton.

BTW, I prophesize that someone else will post on this thread soon...
