I just wonder if Swinney can now tell the AD to get the hell off of his sideline during games.

He had a good run, but it sounds like Clemson wasn't in the mood to go after a big name. The same team that was ranked in the pre-season top 10 lost to Georgia Tech and Florida State, beat Boston College, Duke, Virginia and the rival SoCarolina.
I really don't know if Tommy Bowden wouldn't have fared just as well - of course the program though Bowden was going to help Clemson compete for a national title.

Dabo Swinney (DA-bo SWEE-nee): Noun, proper. Def. 1: An in-house Clemson coach who panders for a job and gets it because a few big-name players say they won't stick around if he isn't the coach. Def. 2: A football coach who has the backing of some big-money boosters. Def. 3: A Clemson coach who beats South Carolina and makes Steve Spurrier look foolish.

Kiffin said he took the test a few days prior to signing the contract.

Kiffin also fired a joking shot towards Meyer in the press conference.

Such is life among the 12 coaches in the SEC..

The man on the left says there's never a bad time to contact recruits. Even before you've told your soon-to-be-former players that you're leaving.

Jim Harrick thinks that question is a bit harsh.

  10. Actually, Mike Frank of IrishEyes reported it first, at 5:29 p.m.
    http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=109&f=1052

Then, an hour later, WNDU had this incredibly misleading and self-serving report, claiming to have broken the story. ("As first reported on NewsCenter 16 at 6:00 and on the IrishEyes website, Charlie Weis will return for the 2009 season.")
    http://www.wndu.com/home/headlines/35414524.html

And then SportsCenter read the second paragraph of WNDU's Web report nearly verbatim.
