From what I'm hearing, Bellotti may be moving upstairs sooner than that.

Either way, there's no way on Earth I take the Syracuse job if I'm Chip Kelly. The promise of the Oregon gig in the future is too good to leave for Syracuse. Another job, maybe.

Tommy would be a great hire for MSU. That's not an easy job. That would be a better pull than I would have expected. I would have thought they'd be looking at Charlie Strong or someone like that.

Auburn will have a vacancy in 3-2-1 ...

I don't see MSU doing any better than Tommy Bowden.

Hopefully they won't send the private jet for him through Golden Triangle Regional Airport.

Yay ... another coach in waiting. This is a trend that cannot end soon enough.

So has Notre Dame tapped Charlie Weis as an "ex-coach in waiting?"

I have a strong feeling there is going to be another ACC job open within the next few days.

Now that's a trend I can get down with.

You talking about Cutcliffe? Butch Davis? Al Groh?

I wish I could say who I am talking about, but I can't on here. I'm sorry. If it doesn't happen, I'll post later on and say who I was talking about.

It won't be David Cutcliffe. After winning four games this year, Duke might be ready to give him the key to the city of Durham.

Butch? Only if a higher calling is really out there.

Al Groh would be the best guess among those three, but considering Littlepage and Co. paid a lot to send Pete Gillen, I dunno if the folks in Charlottesville want to ante up for Groh.

Surely Miami hasn't lost all patience with Randy Shannon.

You might be onto something with Groh, Sam ... just a hunch.
