Buffalo STATE is a better offer than Syracuse.

    Abso-friggin'-lutely.
"Well, it's a BCS school." Yup, and one of the worst teams in the country. That ship's already hit the iceberg.

Spurrier to Auburn would be almost as strange as him going to Tennessee or Florida State

Army just fired Stan Brock. Man, they never should have fired Bob Sutton azbout 10 years ago because it's been a disaster there ever since.

I'm still trying to figure out the most impressive hire I've seen so far this off-season. All coordinators so far. None that made me say, holy crap!, Great hire.

And it's not like in the years since, Aubie fans have said things like "Gee, we'd be so much better if we had Gene Chizik back..."

There is much laughter here in Iowa at the thought of Chizik going to Auburn.

To be fair, Iowa State is pretty much used to getting laughed at.

Yeah, if Chizik is using this as a way to get more money out of Iowa State he's made a serious miscalculation.

Supposedly Auburn has interviewed Jim Grobe - it would be a great hire, but I can't imagine he'd bite. Spurrier's not going anywhere.

Grobe would be an outstanding hire.
