That's incorrect. Mark Emmert left LSU before Saban did and was not the person who hired Miles. Neither was the current A.D. at Washington, if that's what he means.

    Facts, schmacts.

And I'll be the first to say it -- I'm shocked Pinkel didn't at least officially talk to Washington.

If they're going to talk to Franchione, why not make an offer to Dennis Erickson, he's a local guy, natives might be getting restless in Tempe (I mean they fired the last coach who took them to a Rose Bowl). His buyout is just 750k, but I don't know if there is a clause that he can't go to another Pac10 school.

Will we have to pay a fee to a Web site to find out if Franchione is talking to Washington?

Sorry, that's my bad. Mistakenly thought Emmert hired Miles at LSU.

I don't think there's any way ND takes this big of a hit.

Did I hear right......Weis' buyout is 20 Million?

They'll continue to be mediocre before they give him that kind of money.

Tennessee is absolutely a better job than Notre Dame.

Until Weis got his contract extension, ND had a history of being cheap and that's the only reason it lost Meyer to Florida. If Tennessee doesn't get the coach it wants, it won't be because of money.

Tennessee has had very low turnover with their football coaches. Notre Dame has had a revolving door since Holtz left.

Tennessee also doesn't put restrictions on which players a coach can recruit like Notre Dame does.

There's no question Tennessee is the better job and it's not close.

Agree on all points, except ND lost Meyer because he knew he couldn't recruit there with the academic standards being what they are.
