Arkansas' quarterbacks don't throw. They have two jobs. Get the ball from the center and then hand it to someone.

Considering that WV's starting QB is injured, Rutgers should be up by more now, IMO.

The Rutgers offense was great on its first two drives, then WV adjusted. Rutgers needs to get that offense going again, because they're going to need plenty of points to win this game.

How about this for a solution. Most teams have about 2 or 3 "bye" weeks during the season. Instead of having all those bye weeks, eliminate one or two and then take the conference champions (ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Big East, SEC, and Pac-10) and then the next best two in the BCS and have an 8 team playoff. Lets look at it as if it was in place...

    Round 1
    Ohio State. vs. Wake Forest
    Florida vs. Rutgers/Louisville
USC vs. BCS at large (add a team)
    Michigan vs. Oklahoma.

loser game 1 vs. loser game 2 -Sugar Bowl
loser game 3 vs. loser game 4-Orange

    Round 2
winner game 1 vs winner game 2
winner game 3 vs winner game 4

loser game 5 vs. loser game 6-Rose Bowl

    the two left-National championship-Fiesta bowl.

Thats a great way to do because the bowls are still there, the money is still there and we have a playoff that works for two weeks and does not cause the students to miss class that much.

But the colleges and many coaches want to preserve the bowl system. December basically off for finals and the holiday. So, have the "traditional" tie-ins to the bowls and after the bowls, take the best two and have one game for the title.

It's not ideal. It's not the best situation. And there inevitably will be a hue and cry about a team being left out of the national title game. But it's better than what what we have now. And the fifth game is in place now. And the lower-tiered conferences are preserved/given their shot with being in the top 12 and getting in.

i don't think so. I don't know why Mustain was benched. It's not like the QB in this offense has a lot of responsibility.

And WV marches right down the field for a touchdown after the second half kickoff to take the lead.

But if you have 3 one loss teams, then what do you do?

    And Rutgers is officially toast.

WV has solved their defense, and Rutgers can't finish them off on 3rd down.

Hope they enjoy playing in an obscure fourth tier bowl on the NFL Network.

White never started and has not played. Lingering foot injury from last week. Jarrett Brown not too bad as a back-up once he got going.

So you basically get a month to prepare for the "semifinals/bowl game" and then, what, a week to get ready for a "plus-one, national title game"?

WVU and Florida are certainly clearing some of this up, though.

White suffered an ankle sprain last week and has been battling turf toe all season. He wasn't 100 percent today and Rich Rodriguez pulled him early (or so I've heard).

Even as the board's foremost Louisville apologist fan, I couldn't fault WVU for the move. Pat White's a special player and there's no reason to play him hurt in a meaningless game for the 'Neers.

Besides, Brown is pulling the greatest sub job since, well, Pat White last year against Louisville.
