My bad -- White didn't start. Brown did.

Harris was hired by the previous AD, Ted Leland, who had a much different attitude about football than the new AD, Bob Bowlsby, formerly of Iowa.

Leland wouldn't let the Cardinal play 12 games when that was permissable in the odd years several years ago. He didn't really back football, hell, he even hired Buddy Teevens. Leland is a big reason TW left for Notre Dame, even tho you'll never hear TW say so.

The new guy seems to really want to win (on Stanford's terms, but he still wants to win). Brand new stadium, but thousands of empty seats, doesn't cut it.

Never helps to be the under-fire FB coach hired by the previous AD. Just ask Dirk Koetter.

Anyone else feeling a little nostalgic about watching the Huskers and Sooners play a meaningful game in November again December? Because personally, for me, this is good to see.

Hear, hear. I'm with you, Oz. Kirk Bohls wrote a good column about this today in the Austin American-Statesman.

Anybody that beats West Virginia and Louisville in the same season deserves a BCS bid.

If Steve Slaton is half the back people think he is, he'll carry the Neers to victory.

Sorry to interject, but I'm wondering if I'm just stupid, or if ESPN has stopped trying. The headline on ESPN.com right now is "No Troy in Glendale." Is there a reference there that I'm missing?

If Arkansas had a QB it might have beat LSU and UF. Dick sucks dick.

Play on "No Joy in Mudville"? Or maybe Aikman has decided to boycott the BCS title game.
