I don't think Saban runs it up on Beamer, a man he probably respects. I also don't think Saban risks McCarron's toe on some garbage time. The toenail was removed, meaning if it's not juiced up, it's going to hurt, no matter how fine Saban says he is.

You don't always have to run it up on offense. A few pick-6's, fumble return or two. Special teams.

West Virginia's radio network is sponsored by "Shoneys: A Mountaineer tradition." The jokes just write themselves.

And neither school passed assessments to pay for it.

Badgers not fucking around with UMass. 70 yards in 5 plays to open the game. 7-0 Bucky.

One point about the NDSU win: When we disuss guarantee games, as we did in another thread, we should note that there is very little difference between good FCS teams and good teams from the lower-level FBS conferences.

In other words, I'd put teams like NDSU and Sam Houston State up against teams at the top of the MAC or Sun Belt any day of the week. I saw where one of the southern FCS teams, McNeese, is something like 5-0 all-time against the Sun Belt.

And here's the point: When scheduling guarantee games, why schedule a Sun Belt team when you can schedule an FCS for less money? Losing to NDSU is no more embarrassing than losing to Toledo. A middling FCS team is probably comparable to a middling SBC or MAC team.

Now, I will say there is nothing in the FBS as bad as a Savannah State. But short of that, you get more bang for your buck. Given that, I don't see these games going away (although I know the big five conferences have talked about it).

But if you play one, do avoid North Dakota State. And Appalachian State (where you at, Michigan?).

Looks like Urban is going for two every time against Buffalo.

Maybe he was satisfying the prop-bet Bovada crowd.

Hard to score 28 in a quarter but you can do +21 with 3 TDs and a few 2-pointers.
