Dan, I think there is a flaw in the conference vs. conference argument. For example, I won't argue the overall strength of the ACC vs. the SEC. But I would say the heavyweights --- Clemson and Florida State --- can play with anyone. Will be interested to see how Miami stacks up against Florida this weekend.

Bovada moved the FSU-Pitt line from 10 to 11.5 in the last 24 hours.

Even though Florida State is starting a red-shirt freshman, I don't think Pitt stays in the stadium.

Nice to see objective sideline reporter Mrs. Christian Ponder on-hand for FSU-Pitt game.

Tom Savage? Man, I remember his freshman year at Rutgers.

I thought he was going to be a great one.

Transferred to Arizona, then left when Rich Rod was hired and put in the spread option.

Funny, but it wasn't but 30 minutes ago that Lou Holtz said Pitt's offense sucks.

He's a big strapping galoot who needs to throw the ball more than Pitt needs to run it.

Savage looked like a world beater that first drive. The FSU freshman is impressive.

17 of 18, 2 TDs, another rushing TD ... impressive, indeed.
