Note to Mel Kiper: How's that Christian Hackenberg in the first round next spring lookin'? If the Draft was 85 rounds, he'd go unselected.

I'm just thinking about the Fitz mentality and what their own expectations must have been as they prepped all August for a home opener vs. that opponent. The game actually prolly rated as the most dangerous road opener for a favorite. Buckeyes/VaTech sorta fits in that category, too. Neutrality aside, also focus on Wisconsin/Bama. I'm just not too surprised at the NW win in Evanston. They are to be expected to get outsized on multiple occasions later this fall ... but they are going to pass licks as long as Fitz is there.

Louisville has cut it to 31-24 with 2:59 left.

Auburn's defense has looked awful since Carl Lawson and Tray Matthews left due to injury.

Coach Road Rash think that last timeout he didn't burn gonna get him a 2-for-1 lap dance at the Cheetah?

Sorry, but there's no excuse on this planet for Penn State being this awful. Hackenberg was sacked TEN TIMES...by Temple. This wasn't some defensive powerhouse, it was a middle of the pack American Athletic Conference team. Ten sacks. And Temple controlled the LOS most of the game which tells me there are gaps in the D-line as well. Coach Fist Pump might wanna' stop talking about how Rutgers and Maryland should quit football because he's gonna dominate recruiting there and actually start coaching.

What a great finish — and win — for BYU. And an absolute crusher for Mike Riley and Nebraska.

College football's back, and I love it!
