Even if it does not show in the Cavs' record, they are taking enough Virginia players away to make Tech really look overmatched athletically in these games.

She was less than amused that I screamed that during the game. It has become something of a tradition during Va Tech games.

 

Unless a Vick is at QB, Tech really is not all that great.

But their fans think they are right there with Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, USC, LSU, Florida and the other traditional football powers.

 

I wish my helmet was that color more often.

Every program east of the Mississippi has exploited the Hampton Roads honey hole that was almost exclusively VeeTee territory up until five or six years ago.

 

This shows the value of having a good backup QB, which is hard in college football. If a QB is of the caliber of a starter but doesn't win the starting job, they'll transfer... and they should given they only have four years plus a transfer season.

Once Tech has to put Willie Beamen in, they were done.

I'm not trying to knock cardale, but I am curious, what exactly did you see from him in this game that provoked that statement?

 

Ohio State can kick back for the next 10 weeks. They won't play a ranked team until Nov. 21. They could roll out their third team and run the table until they host Sparta.

 

How is it that a program with top 15 aspirations doesn't have two quarterbacks that can throw the ball? I mean, throw it, period?

(Fully acknowledging that as profoundly mediocre as Michael Brewer is, UVA would put up a statue on the Lawn for that kind of production in 2015.)
