I know two places where Bama - Wisky would be a sellout.

After two straight Final Four runs, we, as Badgers fans or alums, are absolutely tapped out. That probably explains it too.

Shit, after the World Series between the FF appearances, I'm broke.

I have about $6K invested in consecutive Sugar Bowl ass-whippings. I'm feeling the drain with you, ex.

Sadly, that may never happen again. Seem like these annoying neutral site games are the only way you can get a decent non-con matchup against an SEC power nowadays. They will not travel to the home field of anyone actually good.

You mean, like Alabama's game a couple years ago at Tallahassee?

I also remember a trip to Penn State, just a few short years ago.

Lagging ticket sales for the Carolina-Lil Carolina game are all about prices. Nobody I know wants to pay $75+ to sit in the nosebleeds. I went to the Chic-Fil-A kickoff in Atlanta a few years ago and paid less than $60 for a decent, lower bowl seat.

The promoters missed their price point to get a sellout. But given the 55,000 they've sold at those prices, I doubt they care.

    That game was at Jacksonville.

However, Alabama did play at Penn State in 2011 and at Duke (I know, but still) in 2010.

They care mostly about the TV money.

Ole Miss-Boise State last year had probably 30,000 empty seats, too.

    Tennessee at Oregon.

    Tennessee at Oklahoma.

Do we really need to go through every team to expose this myth --- again --- when it will just be mindlessly repeated a few weeks later anyway?

Speaking of, rumor is Nissan Stadium's first game, featuring UT v Bowling Green, has 30,000+ tickets available.
