I may not be the brightest bulb in the basket, but shouldn't Texas have gone for two when they were down 24-19? A PAT gets you nothing there.

With 17 minutes left in the game? Take the XP and then the next touchdown puts you up three points, or a WVU field goal keeps you within seven.

You can't play it like there isn't going to be any more scoring (though that's what happened).

Is there any reason besides injuries to think that Alabama won't win both its playoff games by 20?

He's seen worse. My youngest brother is UVa '76. In his four years, he saw two home wins. I was at one of 'em. They beat VMI, but it was a tussle.

Hurts still isn't a polished passer, the secondary could be a little shaky and special teams other than punting are iffy. But it will take an elite team to exploit all of that and the SEC doesn't have anyone else in that category.

I know both Michigan and Ohio State are good, but Clemson is life and death with Pitt (!!!) at home and to be frank, I haven't seen Washington yet. Every time I see Alabama, they look like a great team not playing to its potential, or a great team playing to its potential.

I still have serious doubts about Michigan being good enough to win at the 'Shoe. Really think 2017 is their year.

Hell of a play by Clemson's receiver Mike Williams to temporarily save a touchdown. Watson threw an interception at the goal line, and a Pitt linebacker was running down the sideline. Williams was the only one with a shot to catch him, laid out around the 30-yard line, and got just enough of a hand on the guy to trip him up.
Pitt wound up scoring anyway (now 42-40 with 5 minutes left), but that was a great, great hustle play.
