A 16-team playoff is the way to go
They do it at the FCS, Division II and III levels
Make the lesser bowls early round games

The conference championship game is the playoff game. That’s 10 teams. Can’t win your conference? Can’t be National Champ

Someone want to explain why Auburn, with 3 time outs and more than a minute on the clock, had no interest in trying to get a tying field goal — particularly when the Tide gets the ball to start the third?

If FBS football could realign itself to 8 conferences, they could do an 8-team playoff with the conference championships counting as one round and still keep most of the bowl system as is (actually wouldn't have to change a thing)

Pitt getting ranked and immediately shitting pants is a tradition like no other.

So glad I spent money to go to Charlotte next week.

It would be nice if Alabama could recruit some playmakers at wide receiver.

Damn Bama went from a tight game to up by 17 in five minutes.

I would give the Bama receiver a plus on that catch.

Vanderbilt beat Tennessee four times in 51 years from 1960-2011. It's up 24-7 in the fourth quarter and heading toward its third win in a row over the Vols, which is something it hasn't done since 1920-26.

No one is more of a dick than Saban getting mad at his own players at the end of a blowout.
