It starts where Tucker Carlson leaves off. It also has production values reminiscent of the early days of public access cable in the '80s.

I kind of get a kick out of bad production values, but I think I'll pass on sampling the network. I may not even get it.

So if Hubbard had boycotted over a FNC shirt, is the media reaction as unanimous as it has been? Or, say, if Gundy had gone to a Trump rally?

I'm going to guess criticism level rankings as:
    1) Trump rally attendance
    2) OAN shirt
    3) Fox News shirt

If you're an overt supporter of a media outlet that says the virus is a hoax and that Black Lives Matter is a terrorist organization, you are putting your future success in peril. In most cases. That's certainly true today.
There is one notable exception. Saint Dabo of the Upstate is remarkable for many reasons, one of which is that he has thrived in recruiting since saying that some BLM people need to find another country. Pleasure palace facilities and his personal charm have helped. But even he had to swallow his pride and appear at a rally on campus over the weekend.

I don't want to come off like I'm defending Gundy the fuckhead. But Chuba had to know who Gundy was and what he's about before he committed to play football for him. He hasn't exactly hid the QAnon wacko conspiracy theory side of his personality.

True, but the situation has changed so much just in the last few months that he probably feels a lot safer about criticizing his own coach.

Hubbard didn't have much cache when he came to Oklahoma State, even though he was a prime recruit. Gaining 2,100 yards in a season builds you a nice platform.

OAN is the organization with the Russian reporter who "broke" the speculation that the 75-year old man who had his skull fractured by Buffalo police was actually an Antifa operative using his cellphone to "scan" the police radio so Antifa could block all police radio transmissions, and that the man faked falling over to make the officer who shoved him look bad.

Essentially it's a network dedicated to reporting the craziest conspiracy theories they can find on 4Chan.

Gundy likes them because it's straight news, right down the middle, no commentary and no political slant.

    And now everything's fine.
The video, likened to a hostage video by many, includes Hubbard apologizing for having aired his grievances publicly.

The Estate of Thomas Boone Pickens must have weighed in. Nothing will change.

I think they’re laundering rubles based on their content (and, well … this), and a friend who formerly worked there agrees with me.

He didn't have to play for Gundy to start with. If he did an ounce of research he knew the coach was a conspiracy theorist wacko when he was being recruited. I assume he went because he liked the offense. Offense hasn't changed. Coach hasn't changed. Gundy is an assclown, but he has the right to be a far right wacko if he wants without his players getting in his politics.

    That felt very staged.

Well Gundy certainly does have the right to be a far-right whack job. Just as his players have the absolute right to publicly disagree with him.
