Ya think? He didn't beat out Nix because he was a freshman, and Nix was promised the starter job. Also, I understand transfers don't sign, once they attend class it's official.

He can only count two of those years as redshirts

His 2019 redshirt was a medical one.
He can pick either 2021 or 2022 as a regular redshirt.

You can't choose to redshirt more than once. Anything outside of those needs to be medical.

Any idea where the NCAA stands on scholarships limitations by sport -- 85 in football -- these days? The limits were relaxed or thrown out when the Trumpandemic hit, and I thought the NCAA indicated they would return. Do you know if there are limits these days and what they are?

Im not a "make the Rose Bowl" the permanent national championship site - but Houston? Ugh. Isn't there some place that is an airline hub in the middle of the country that would be a tad more accessible financially for flights on short-notice?

Houston Intercontinental is a United hub and it’s relatively easy to get to Hobby Field via Southwest from just about anywhere.

Houston was awarded this game in 2017. Not like it was decided this week.

I think Seattle would be a great choice. It’s the Alaska Airlines hub, early January weather is great and traffic to and from the Seahawks stadium is never a problem …

    St Louis or Indianapolis

If Chicago had a domed stadium ... but they don't.
