College football championship thread: Atomic Dawgs

This could be the end of the Pac-12.

 

Quite a bit, though not exclusively. There are a lot of MSU stans because of Izzo and Mariucci and you might find a few Bucky boosters depending on where you are. Up there, there are multiple D-IIs (Northern Michigan, Michigan Tech) with relevant athletic programs that take up a little of the conversation, but both Michigan and MSU are popular topics.

 

In the far southwestern end of the UP, there's a lot of Packer slappies. In the northwest corner up in the crotch of big lake they call Gitchee Gumee, there are some Viking zealots.
With U-M having a dominant season and Sparty off the radar screen, the resurgent Lions and Michigan will dominate the eastern 2/3 of the U.P.

Damn, I thought Northern Michigan was in the MAC.

EDIT: Fricking Arkansas Tech has a bigger enrollment.

 

Michigan has taken their foot off the gas — and gone away from the running game — in the 2Q. They’re letting the Dawgs hang around.

 

I'd say this doesn't deserve to be a one-score game at the half, except that U-M let it happen.

 

That’s at least three bad throws from Penix.

 

UW should just line up with the center, Penix and 9 wr.

 

I like Chris Fowler, but he sounds tired on this broadcast.

 

Not the prettiest game in the world but at least a lot more competitive than it seemed like it’d be early.

The rule changes on the clock are an extremely welcome change to this casual college football fan. In years past this would still be in the second quarter.

 

He’s just overly eager about the 19-hour flight to Australia after the game.
