Florida State being fourth is a joke.

Yes, they've won ugly, but they've won, and that should count for something.

Apparently, it's better to lose to Ole Miss than beat Florida.

IMO: If GT beats Florida State, Wisky beats Ohio State, and Kansas State beats Baylor.......then Michigan State would be 4, and Kansas State would be 5.

KSU fans would shit the bed.

I don't think it really matters where FSU is, as long as it's somewhere in the top 4. Third, fourth, whatever. Them winning DOES count for something. They're currently in the playoffs. That's the idea, right?

That's exactly right. Doesn't matter if you're 1 or 4.......you're still in the hunt for the big enchilada.

I agree. It's like with the basketball tournament. People complain about seeds, but the only bad one is not getting in.

If the computers didn't base their rankings on the actual games, what were they based on?

Yeah. The computers fucked up the simplest things just as much as the committee has so far.

If Arizona beats Oregon (third time in a row) then it vaults into Final Four, and Jameis Winston is out of the national champ picture, which is what everyone outside of Tallahassee wants anyway.

Not necessarily. Arizona would just replace Oregon, right?

Andrew Sharp is becoming my favorite writer at Grantland.

"In other words, college football’s currently working with a system that guarantees weekly delirium and rewards the best team in the end. Who can possibly complain?

    You know, besides everyone."

Yeah I got a little lost in his point there.

Although with this group Oregon might be rewarded for a quality loss.

The rankings committee will do all it can to see that FSU drops out of the top four. It's already happening. You heard it here.
