That would really be too bad.

There's no way the committee will leave out an undefeated FSU team in the first year of the playoff format. No fucking way.

Sure they would if they could.

This move could have been strategic as much as anything. Semifinal in New Orleans is much more friendly for FSU fan base than Pasadena. Both schools have to sell those allotments.

Which goes back to my other point: who cares if they're 1, 2, 3, or 4? As long as they're in. Which they will be with a win Saturday night.

Ryan, I could agree with Sharp's point that all games in big-time college football regular seasons are meaningful if it wasn't for Alabama-Western Carolina, etc.

Except that Alabama's only loss would be against a team that didn't make the top 16, and Oregon's only loss was against number 9 in the BCS. People would complain.

Maybe I'm missing what you're saying, but Ole Miss appears to be No. 11 in those hypothetical BCS rankings

Alabama's loss was also on the road.

I don't think he meant every single game, literally.

So now it doesn't matter who you play in the semifinal? Isn't seeding supposed to mean something?

But FSU would send more fans to Pasadena than TCU.
