    They'd still be a two-loss team.

Tough call. If they beat Oregon again, I might have to find a way to get them in there. Don't see it happening, though.

Don't see how the committee could bank on Oregon as a playoff team all along and then not give serious thought to putting in a team that beat them twice. Like I said, real tough call.

If Mizzou wins that would be fun. How would the committee squeeze in an SEC team?

My guess is depending on how close the loss is Alabama would get SERIOUS consideration at No. 4 based on their body of work being better than the one loss teams behind them.

And when a No. 4 Alabama plays No. 1 Oregon in New Orleans (basically a Bama home game) shit will have hit the fan and the college football minds that matter will have fucked up something that appeared pretty foolproof.

If Oregon is 1-seed, that game's gonna be in Pasadena.

SportsJournalists.com, propagating fallacious SEC football conspiracy theories since 2006.

I was just wondering how many heads will simultaneously explode if the SEC is shut out, and how many of those heads belong to SportsJournalists.comers.

I don't know about heads exploding, but the 4-team playoff model might.

Lower seeds have never received virtual home games in the NCAA Tournament?

All of this will be moot after Alabama slaps Missouri around.

A Mizzou win could send two Big 12 teams into the playoff. Would have to appreciate the irony ...

A post-bowl, four-team playoff would be ideal. The interest in even some of the "non-BCS" or "New Year's Six" bowl games would rise. In any given year going back to 1999, with a post-bowl, four-team playoff, bowls like the Liberty, Cotton, Citrus, Motor City, Poinsettia and Peach Bowl would have impacted the national championship picture. And no bowl game would have to bow down to another in terms of importance because of the "next game."

FSU fans are the best. They're complaining that FSU is fourth in the standings. And if FSU beats GT, they'll complain no matter where they play next. Pasadena against Oregon? "They're sending the undefeated national champs all the way across the country!!!" Alabama in New Orleans? "They're making us play in Alabama's back yard!!!!"

    FSU fans are the best.
