He's done a hell of a job there. Makes you wonder what would have happened if he hadn't botched the Notre Dame gig.

I wonder who will be the one crying come Sunday. No matter what happens, someone is going to feel like they got jobbed. Happens every year.

Except in the BCS you could actually pinpoint where you fell short. Polls hated us/SOS sank us/Computer(s) sank us.

On Sunday so-and-so is No. 5, and that's all they know.

How UCF just won that ...

Easy. ECU played abysmally in the final minute on both sides of the ball. Couldn't run the clock out on offense, then turned it over on downs at their own 35. UCF hit a perfect down-and-out for about 25, then Pirates let UCF's best receiver get behind them in the end zone, where he rather nonchalantly caught the pass for the game-winning score.

If Michigan State goes to the Orange Bowl, one of the eight eligible Big Ten teams might be left out of the bowl picture.

I can't think of one of the Power Five conferences more deserving of having that happen.

But the suits and conference people will be happy in their skyboxes while most everyone else is stuck in traffic or looking for a place to park. This was such a bad idea. You have a 1 in 10 shot of a local team, throw in the 6 p.m. Friday start and it's a joke.

ESPN's sideline person really only had one question to ask O'Leary: "So, George, what speech were you about to give to the team before that miracle?"

Kinda off-topic, but it didn't deserve its own thread....

No. 29 on this list is interesting. QB-DT combo!

Jim Kelly's nephew. Was kicked off the team at Clemson after getting into a shouting match with coaches during halftime of the spring game.

If college football coaches were required to wear body cams, we'd have a much clearer idea of what happened here.
